Faeform is one of the best getaway spells - not only does it make you run fast and far, it can be used to break being CC'ed, prevents further CC, and reduces damage taken.

Repel prevents all CC and damage while casting, and it also silences and knocks back other players - making it possibly the best defense against Fire Whirl.

Windstorm is a full stun - which can really help when things are feeling overwhelming, because it can give you a second to breathe. And, of course, it also gives you a chance to run away.

Fade to Shadow fades you into shadow and teleports you in the direction that you're moving - though once you're in the shadows, if your plan is to fully escape, it can be a good idea to switch directions or duck behind a good hiding place, since your enemy will likely still be looking for you.

For offensives, obviously if you get the chance to pick up Fire Whirl you probably want to take it, but otherwise there's a lot to be said for spells that are easy to weild, or that you personally find you're good at using. Star Bomb can be very powerful but that's not going to help if you can't actually hit a player with it, while Rime Arrow isn't as powerful (especially after the nerf) but at least you're pretty much guaranteed to hit your target.

Snowdrift slows down other players, which I find can sometimes throw someone completely.

Steel Traps is very popular, but - and this is anecdotal - personally I find so many people use them, a lot of players already know exactly how to avoid stepping in them.

Mechano-Hog is my favorite. On one of these, you can go fast and far, and they can be amazing for getting out of a tight spot.

The Smoke Bomb can provide cover to get away, though sadly it doesn't last very long.

Goblin Glue Rockets drastically slows down enemy players and can really be great at stopping them in their tracks while you make your escape.

Chicken Coup is basically useless against extremely experienced players, but it is astonishing how many attacking players will completely lose their head when they suddenly find themselves surrounded by angry chickens. It's also very funny, which makes it one of the best abilities in my opinion, meta be damned.

Stormproof Sloop increases movement speed and protects you from damage in the storm, which can be a godsend if you have a particularly bloodthirsty player following you into there.

Another way to go out after completing quest is to fight the Pieces of Hate. They drop a ton of plunder that most players just ignore while they're trying to kill it. Just try to survive there as long as possible, picking up gold, and you can end a game on 900+ renown after 5~ minutes of gameplay.Comment by WillowwhispYou're not doing yourself or us a favor by calling yourself scared and fearful and you know perfectly well it has nothing to do with fear. The moment Opulence dies each match I just threw myself onto the chest and told people to kill me lol. I got 900 per match. I got 40 renown on Friday night farming after work each day. Here's the real guide for the fastest way to level your renown.
1. Finish your quest.
2. Game Over yourself. Either the storm or another player if you're feeling charitable

You can pick it, summon the hog, then pick your old item, and then mount the hog, so you don't lose your old item.
